Mirjaveh is located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. More than 350km of the border of Iran and Pakistan has been extended in this city. The borderline of Mirjaveh and Pakistan is one of the most important borders of Iran. People of this city is from Baluch tribe and they are Hanafi branch of Islam; they speak in Sarhadi dialect. It is approximately 6000 square kilometers area including three parts and seven rural districts. Mirjaveh county was formed in 1391 SH as the result of separating from Zahedan. Mirjaveh is one of the first cities of Iran where the police and customs offices had been active.
