Aim to provide safe, efficient and comfortable urban transportation system and reduce the growing congestion problems in Lahore; Punjab Masstransit Authority(PMA) has established Bus Rapid Transit System in Lahore knowns as Lahore Metrobus System. The Metrobus System (MBS) Line-1 from Gajjumata to Shahdara, established in Lahore, is the first system operated by PMA.

Niazi Bus Services is the largest provider of intercity and urban bus transportation, serving more than 100 destinations with 1500 daily departures across Pakistan. It has become a Pakistan icon, providing safe, enjoyable and affordable travel to 54 million passengers each year.

Faisal Movers has its Lahore terminal on Bund Road. It is popular due to its safety and refreshments in the bus. Faisal Mover is less expensive than Daewoo but not other companies.

Daewoo has its own terminal away from the main bus station, on Ferozpur Road near Kalma Chowk and Liberty Market. Clean, comfortable, air-conditioned coaches run regularly between Lahore to all major cities of Punjab, KP and Sindh including Karachi plus many smaller cities and towns such as Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad and Peshawar.
